Accessing Esri GIS Software and Web Applications at Michigan Tech

When using your Michigan Tech SSO credentials students, faculty, and staff also have access to download ArcGIS Desktop software. There are two ways of accessing Esri's ArcGIS Pro desktop software at Michigan Tech- through AppsAnywhere or by download from ArcGIS Online using your Michigan Tech SSO credentials.  

Downloading from ArcGIS Online

1. Go to https://www.arcgis.com/index.html and sign in using your MTU SSO credentials. 

2.  You should now be on the homepage for ArcGIS Online at Michigan Tech. Click on your user name and a dropdown menu should appear. Click My Settings. 

3. Click on Licenses on the left sidebar. 

4. Under Licensed Products > License find ArcGIS Pro and click the link to Download ArcGIS Pro.

5. Click the Download button and the ArcGIS Pro installed will download to your computer. 

Through AppsAnywhere

1. Login to AppsAnywhere at https://appsanywhere.mtu.edu/ using your Michigan Tech SSO credentials. 

2. You may be prompted asking if you have AppsAnywhere. If you don't have AppsAnywhere installed click Install now and download the software. 

3. Once the software has downloaded, install the software and then click I have completed installation.

4. In the search bar search for 'arcgis pro' and find ArcGIS Pro 3.0 (or the latest available version) and click Locally Launch ArcGIS Pro.
