Since 2012 Open Education Global has celebrated Open Education Week in March to raise awareness and highlight innovative open education successes worldwide. This week-long event serves as a collaborative, community-built open forum for all institutions, organizations, and individuals interested in and involved in education. Open education at its heart is a movement that supports increasing access to quality, affordable education and customizable educational materials.
The Van Pelt and Opie Library is celebrating OE Week a bit early, on March 1st, 2023, with a panel discussion. Join Michigan Tech users, creators, and supporters of Open Educational Resources for a lively discussion and light refreshments at 3:30pm in the Library's East Reading Room.
